IMPORTANT NOTE - due to having the kids arriving blogs will become shorter and further apart. I am very sorry but what can you do! Funs fun!

Today was a big even as the children arrived!

After a very quite breakfast, where we were warned it would be the last piece of quiet for the summer Hannah and myself went to the art department, collected our equipment for the day, which included cameras and a video recorder and ran up to the top ovals ready to catch the kids as they arrived on buses from all parts of the country.

It was a very exciting event all the councilors were standing on the oval with signs of the names of all the bunks and yelling at the top of their lungs! There we kids getting off buses and running everywhere screaming their heads off happy to see other kids and councilors. I got some great footage and it was so exciting!!

After helping the girls settle into the bunks we headed to lunch and were allowed to have free swim after which was A relief as it was so humid and sticky. We got to really get to know the girls who were all great!

After a short meeting with everyone where all the specialists were introduced to the campers we headed back to the cabins to chill out and work out our acts for THE STAFF TALENT SHOW.....

This was done after dinner. It was scary. There were some amazing acts some beautiful singers and a particularly memorable impression of Steve Irwin. Then we had to go. When our name called out only 5 of the expected 35 hopped on stage. So I had to ask people to come up and after what seemed a particularly long time people started to come up and we did a crazy dance!

It was fun and crazy - in fact I looked at my watch and saw it was already 930 and that it was time for the kiddies to go to bed! ( including myself! )

So off we all went
