Up at 7 and after breakfast headed back to the highway and southward to Kalbarri - around 400 klms. We stopped at the Billabong Roadhouse, fuel led up and had a cup of tea. The wildflowers are everywhere- carpets of yellow, white, pink and purple - very pretty. As we got closer to Kalbarri, the wheat crops were evident as well as some canola. Woke early and had breakfast as we wanted to be down on the beach by 7.45 am to see the dolphins being fed. Got some great photos - they are really lovely. After that we went on the walk up to the bird hide and down onto the beach back to the jetty - about an hour. We then had our free coffee at the restaurant which they promised because our meals took too long last night. Good coffee! We then came back to camp to prepare for our yacht cruise later - 12.30 pm. After packing up we left Carnarvon another sunny warm morning around 8.45 am. Travelled south towards the turnoff to Denham and Monkey Mia through hundreds of klms of wild flowers. They were beautiful and mostly yellow, white and pink. We stopped at The Overland Roadhouse for a cup of tea and on to Denham where we stopped again for lunch. Up fairly early this morning as we wanted to go in to the markets to stock up on veggies. So after breakfast we headed into town. Another absolutely glorious day very warm no wind - around 27. Bought some local produce and came back to camp and headed out for a walk to Morel's Fruit and Veg shop up the highway. After breakfast we headed in to town to find the "mile long jetty" and paid our $4 to walk out to the end and back. We could have caught the train but opted to use this as our daily walk. There were people out the end mainly fishing off this massive jetty. We then took a drive out to Pelican Point and around the town and the outlet of the Gascoyne River.
