We decided to make our overnight stop in Cue. We had been here before and it is a charming little town. Last time we were here the caravan park was overdue for a facelift. It sure has had one and it looks fantastic however it has obviously become so popular by the time we arrived there were no powered sites left. It being another hour to Meekathara and already 5 pm we had no choice but to stop. I immediately phoned through to Newman where we will be tomorrow night and booked the last powered site for two nights. I have to deal with the damp washing in a basket in the van. From there we will plan our Kurrujini visit etc. but we have learnt that we have to book ahead if we want power - and warmth. We went over to the Queen of the Murchison where we had dined last time we were here. They only had meals for their guests so we went over to the pub and sat by a very warm fire for drinks and another warm fire in the dining room for dinner. We watched a bit of footy till half time then walked back to our van. We rugged up with our thermals and had a comfortable night and slept well. Before we went to bed we had a cuppa and Gerry turned all the gas jets on to warm the van up a bit. It worked!
