Up at 7 and after breakfast headed back to the highway and southward to Kalbarri - around 400 klms. We stopped at the Billabong Roadhouse, fuel led up and had a cup of tea. The wildflowers are everywhere- carpets of yellow, white, pink and purple - very pretty. As we got closer to Kalbarri, the wheat crops were evident as well as some canola. The vegetation into the National Park was very pretty - lots of banksias, wattles, grevillias, thriptomine, and shiny leaved eucalypts and many other very pretty flowered shrubs. We arrived at the caravan park around 1 pm, set up camp and had lunch. Had a bit of a look around town and did some shopping at IGA. We contacted the Burkes and arranged to have drinks and dinner with them at their camp. Had steak and onions and veg. We then started a game of cards called May I, which was great fun - lots of laughing going on until the old dear over the back told us to shut up. We didn't realize it was half past 10, so headed home not long after. I have a hair appointment at 9 am tomorrow while the others play golf.
