After breakfast I made a packed lunch and we headed off to the National Park again and out to Weano Gorge. A dirt road out there and when we arrived we walked to Oxer Lookout and Junction Pool. We then walked down into Weano Gorge and wished we had brought our rock shoes as to get into some of the places you had to get wet feet. Anyway the pool down below was very pretty and we walked through the gorge until we found a nice place for lunch. We headed back then and got fresh water and went down into Hancock Gorge named after Lang no doubt. It was a very difficult descent and ascent and was the most difficult we had tackled. It was a Class 5 walk of 6 classes. The rocks are very beautiful but hard under your feet. Another perfect day for walking gorges. We headed back to Kalamino Falls and drove in there and walked down another less difficult descent to the pools and falls - lovely and peaceful. We called it a day then and headed for home which took a good hour and more. We are having chicken stir fry and rice for dinner. Gerry is looking at the sky as there are a lot of clouds hanging around - hope it's not a sign of rain. The roadhouse here is a hive of activity with lots of trucks, road trains etc. calling in. There are many trucks, mining vehicles etc. on the road - must be big business out here.
