Preparing for our trip to Europe. We leave in a fortnight!

We left Port Wakefield and drove on through Adelaide heading for Meningie - only 250 klms and arrived at 1.00. We found the park and enquired of the lady there of Jenny and she was a neighbours. After we set up we went to Jenny's bakery and had lunch. We had a walk this afternoon into town and back. Called Jenny to let her know we were here and she will call in on her way home from work. We left Streaky Bay at 8 am and Gerry drove all day till we got to Port Wakefield around 3.30 pm. We had stopped at Port Augusta for lunch - at McDonalds - only place open on Sunday where I rang Dad for Father's Day. Weather lovely warm sunny day. Holiday nearing an end!!

We drove to Streaky Bay yesterday as we haven't been here before and we are supposed to be going home slow. We got a lovely surprise - a lovely little town with a beautiful sheltered bay. The caravan park has prime position on the foreshore and the afternoon was warm and sunny. We settled in and went to the local "community" pub for tea. Had a late start this morning after watching some of the Paralympic opening ceremony. Crossed the border into South Australia just before lunch and stopped at a photo stop for lunch with a lovely view of the Great Australian Bite. We arrived here at the Nullabor Roadhouse around 4.30 and set up in the camping ground. We had dinner in the restaurant which was ok. Talked to Inala tonight - she phoned to tell me that they have bought a new lounge suite. Pretty cold ...
