We left Newman around 8 am and arrived at Auski Roadhouse, set up the van and headed back to the National Park by noon. We spent the day at Dale's Gorge. We first walked down into Fortescue Falls and had our lunch there. There were some people swimming there as today is quite hot and sunny - first time I have my shorts on. We then walked on to Fern Pool again people swimming and lunching. There were fish visible in the water there. We made our way back to the top of the gorge and then set off on the walk atop the gorge. This took about an hour. It was spectacular scenery with red cliffs looked like they were cut with a knife and stacks of rock that looked like stacks of peat we saw in Ireland only we know it is rock. I took a few photos some of the various flowers that appear here and there - how do they survive? We drove back to the roadhouse where we have not a bad grassy spot out the back with plenty of other caravans. It does not feel as cool as other evenings - so far anyway. Getting ready for chops on the weber tonight - yum!
