We stumbled on this boat museum & it was free, Yeah. It was all about how they transported their goods on the water back in the day. There were only narrow waterways so they built boats to suit, so even though they are narrow they are up to 48 ft long. There was also 4 different locks there taking them up to 20 ft higher, it's fascinating to see how they handled the contour of the land. It is really beautiful all around here. It's similar to the Cotswolds with more mountains & valleys in all shades of deep natural colours. I also spied a hugh hill of exposed slate.
