What a huge city, lucky we have our Tom Tom. It was like a forest of big tall buildings. The streets weren't wide so that's probably why I felt that. The designs of these buildings are fascinating. It seems like the architects of day were competing with each other.
I love all the gables, & especially the brickwork designs & colour. And the workmanship of the fretwork. I wish we had that at home.
We decided it was time to take all our possessions in that night & repack our bags. What a mess, plastic bags everywhere & Bob laughing at me saying I was going to be in trouble with weight. As it turned out his was heavier than mine. I did leave my heavy walking boots behind, they were made for walking England but not with me in them unfortunately.
We had a lovely night visiting Julie's friend Lesley ( cover photo ) A keen caravaner herself she encouraged us to hire one next time we come. I think we would see the UK from different perspective & at least we'd know we had a bed every night.
