The Priory, built in the 12th century. Very comfortable, posh old place. We told her the rate was too high for us & she knocked £20 off.
We walked to the little village market this morning & could have taken a lot with if we could have kept the food cool. Beautiful home made cakes, jams, cheeses, pork pies & soups.

Drove onto see Stonehenge, we wanted to see it in 2000 but the petrol strike here at the time forced us to drive straight to Ireland. It was good to see. Amazing really. They have put a roped off walkway all around it now & in the future they are going to cut off a nearby road to give it a better ambiance.
We're staying in an old pub tonight at Newbury. Downton Abby is just up the road, should call in tomorrow & have a cuppa if they're in.
