We decided to take the main freeway to get well up into Scotland. Running out of time for the places we want to see.
Just said good buy to Karen on the phone, she's waiting at Heathrow & had a really good time staying with her friend, shopping & partying. I'm glad she survived it.

My knees are telling me too, I asked the hotel receptionist for a room on ground level. I still love the cold tho, it's better than the searing heat.
Staying at a service point hotel tonight, these are conveniently located for fuel, food & accommodation. They are also good value. I book on my iPad & save £10 usually pay £40 to £50.
Walked over to the neighbouring servo after we got settled & had a cream tea for supper while I wrote some overdue emails. So handy & has everything you need. No alcohol tho.
They even have poker machines but they won't sell alcohol on the highways. Very responsible. :)
