All packed up n on the road by 10 am, a quick stop at BCF on the way out n now heading north on the Torbanlea Pialba Rd which will join us up to the Bruce Hwy. Another beautiful day here! After more than 6 n half hrs of driving, past Rockhampton, along the Marlborough Straight, Sarina & onto Mackay where we stayed the night. Wow another lovely day, a 9km walk into 1770, we are staying just at a park on the outskirts, then an explore n bushwalk around the waterways there. 1770 is nestled on the edge of Bustard Bay, a lovely area with beautiful water views. Has also turned on amazing weather for us!

Left Hervey Bay after a nice slow couple of nights, is such a beaut spot, a great foreshore and very long walking track, reckon about 10 kms!! Another beautiful day driving north, via the Bruce Hwy and Childers and then onto Bundaberg. Outside of Bundaberg we stopped at an amazing Strawberry farm where we bought some yummy berries. Here we are at Hervey Bay on the 1st morning of our Qld driving/camping adventure. After months n months of planning initially by Vinny and then by Charlie we are now on our way.
