Breakfast at 8.15am then a short walk to the Tourist Information Centre to buy our metro passes for the day.

Caught the metro and S-Bahn to Oranienburg which took about 40 minutes. Walked from Orienburg train station to Sachsenhausen which took about 15 minutes to see Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp.

As you would expect this was a very depressing place and the cold, drizzly weather added to the mood. Walked around on the self guided tour for 90 minutes looking in the dormitories, prisons, crematoriums and gas chambers. Also had some interesting museums outlining the history of the camp and its inhabitants.

Walked back to the train station and caught the S-Bahn and metro to Zoogarten station for some
donuts and coffee from Dunkin Donuts. Caught the metro to Schloss Charlottenburg. We didn't have time to look inside so took a few pictures from the outside and then returned to our hotel for a rest.

Caught the metro out to Kurfürstendam to look in the Hertha Berlin soccer club shop, not much there. Had a quick look in the Hard Rock Cafe...rip off !! We caught the metro around to Wittenburgplatz and went to KaDeWe for dinner the same as the night before.

Back to the hotel for a coffee at the hotel bar before going to our room to pack for our trip to Munich the next day.
