Hey guys long time no writing, unfortunately i have been very busy being at work, a bar or a beach at all times! I will start from where I was up to which was a Saturday! On the Saturday it was going to be another hot day funnily enough so me, Sarah, Kieran, Tommo and Sarah's flat mates Danny and James thought we would have a nice day trip to the beach. SO we all met at Brighton Beach and some people came very organised with a crate of beer and a box of goon (Sarah and Co) and some of us were ill prepared and came with nothing more than a hat (me, Kieran and Tommo) so me n Kee made the huge trek to the shop which is literally a crazy trek and we stocked up on some beer and some goon to keep us going. We were there all day, we went in the sea and everything! It was lush, it was such a nice day that we ended up being there for sunset too which was lovely so we all sat on the beach watching the sun go down and of course we all posed for a few photographs!! Very exciting!! I do love a sunset, and I am being continously spoiled here in Oz as there is amazing sunsets every night to be honest so i'm a very lucky lady!!

So after the sunset we got the train home and we realised that we obviously needed to go out now to party all night of course, so we decided we would all rush home get showered n changed from the beach and then head straight back to Sarah n Co's house to continue the party there before we go out. So we all done a massive dash home and did an amazing turnaround time of like 45 mins which is impressive when i had 10 mins from the train to walk and then get train back. I think we all did very well, apart from Tommo who didnt manage to get a train back as they were all off at his end so he didnt end up playing out bless him. Me n Kee got to theirs and we drank a bit more goon then as their friend was visiting from home he had brought loads of vodka so we had a few vodkas and eventually it was like 10 to midnight so we realised we best leave the house now and go to the bar where they live called Campari, which is a lush bar with a lovely rooftop terrace, so off we trotted there, it turned out they had a corporate card for there as its on their street so we got mega cheap drinks and it was cheaper to drink champaaaaaaagne in there than anything else so thats what me n Sarah did! We are smart girls that is for sure!! We then upset a few hen parties bless them - they were being a bit rude though. So we then decided we'd had enough of Campari house so we went on to Cookies (which apparently i cant say correctly either - the list grows daily!!) that is also a famous rooftop bar in Melbourne but we werent actually allowed on the roof as they have a limit and once its met its a no no. But Cookies is a huge bar anyways so we had a good time in there but I must admit it is so weird as its also a restaurant and we got there obviously way after 1am and people ordering full on meals. It smelled bad of fish fingers which I just wasnt happy about to be honest. And there was alot of people dressed in drag which is very confusing as I wasnt sure if they worked there or were patrons to be honest. But Either way we had a good night in there we had a good old dance and I told some people I was editor of a famous australian newspaper that may rhyme with the word rage, and obviously i think everyone beleived me haha. Not. Since I just look 18 no one beleived me which i though was extremely ageist. Nevermind! So after a good old night of dancing like a spoon and drinking some fine white wines I went home to sleep for england as I was shattered!!

As this was a few weeks ago (around 3) i have no idea what I did the next day but I imagine it involved a walk round southbank, then meeting Janine for a drink as that is my standard Sunday routine generally! So on the Monday it was my FIRST day at work!! Bare in mind i hadnt been at work for such a long time like 2 and half months!! Which is such a nice amount of time to be a travelling bum by the way, i highly recommend it. So i got up and went to work with Sarah (work buddies yey) and we started the first of 8 days of intensive training for our job which is Customer Service Agent/Sales for a media company dealing with Newspaper Subscriptions. Basically everyone in my training group is a backpacker and english or irish, there is a few australians (like 5 maybe) also americans, Kiwis and a girl from africa who is just lush! But we all are pretty much travellers it is a very nice group indeed!! Anyways I wont bore you with the training but anyways it was bleak! Very boring but pretty thorough in some parts and not very thorogh in other parts but to be honest 8 days training for a job for 6 weeks is mental baring in mind where I used to work!! 8 days for a lifetime job is unheard of... nevermind. Anyways we were getting paid for full time hours but working 9 - 4ish and we were having hour lunches and two 20 minute breaks a day so it was sweet training like I must admit, and of course we were being fed lollies all the time. By the way lollies are just sweets. Not lollies at all? No sticks or anything. Mental. Chewy sweets are lollies. Its hard to get your head round but its true. And the boys who are english were like 'can we have some more lollies' all of the time and I always imagined a nice strawberry chupa chup but no such luck they meant them crappy chewy sweets. Rubbish. I would prefer a mars bar obviously. Infact going off track here a teeny bit you can get honeycomb mars bars here which are amazing i swear they have crack in them i am obsessed! Mam you would love them i think!! Amazing. But anyways its Monday and i've completed my first day of training so what should I do tonight? Oh yeah I;m going to meet Dr Karl Kennedy from Neighbours!!! At the Neighbours Trivia Night. This is such an exciting day for me, I basically moved to Australia as I love Neighbours, especially loving Dr Karl the most!! So off meand Kee go to meet my idol. It is only the hottest day ever so we are sweating our t*** off waiting for the tram to get there!! We get to St Kilda and go for some jugs of beer and some pizza for tea before the Neighbours fun begins,, so to be honest I slightly tipsy when I get there anyway... oops! We get in and get the best seats right at the front, I was literally the most excited I have ever been before!! It was a bit like Christmas day and knowing you will get to meet the real santa... straightaway there was a lady asking if we wanted to ask questions to the stars, so i filled out about a million question cards in the hope at least one of mine would be asked, I wrote them all out to Dr Karl of course. His son in Neighbours Mal Kennedy and Steph Scully was also there but It was all about Dr Karl for me!! You also get a free half a pint for attending although it is $40 to get in to be fair! But still we continued like real northerners and we drank a lot of beer that night. We took part in a trivia quiz and we came third but didnt win anything which i thought was hard. Kee took part in a singing competetion and won a day trip to wilsons prom or something . Very exciting indeed! The best bit was when the stars came out. Mal Kennedy came out first and appeared he was super hot which i never realised on neighbours! Then Steph came out and then Dr Karl ran past us on his way in!! They did a little Q&A session and one of questions came up! It was 'will you always be Dr Karl?' or something similiar and he said yes basically but a long answer and he was amzing haha. I love Dr Karl! Then all the stars came round mid quiz. We met Steph first who didnt impress me much, she was clearly there for a bit of cash and wasnt interested i dont think. Very rude. And the Dr Karl came round and i was so happy, I obviously had a very important mission when I seen him though, so after me n Kee got one pic with him I asked if he would record a message for Ellie's hen party as I would be missing it due to being in Oz. And he was like 'of course, lets go outside where its quieter' so he took me outside haha I was like 'yeeeeeey Dr Karl is kidnapping me' he was so lovely, and he did a lovely message for her whilst kissing me on the cheek mid video haha i was super excited!! And then we went back in and he gave me a huge hug as i think he could tell i was a massive fan. What a lovely man. We then met Mal Kennedy, who as I mentioned was a massive hottie so I inisted on getting a canny few photographs with him!! He was lovely as well though, a really nice guy just like his (tv) dad. Then the exciting part of the night was on. The Waiting Room played, they are Dr Karls band and they played a ton of classic songs including songs by the black eyed peas and many more it was brilliant. He also sang who the f*** is alice but changed the name to Susan!! I danced me little socks off for the whole gig it was very exciting, kee isnt a neighbours fan at all I just demanded he went with me and he loved it too!! Then when the band came off stage I ran back over to Dr Karl to get another photograph as I had only managed to get one as i'd got the video done instead! So I got another snap and I was happy as larry!! We then continued to have a few beers in the pub, where Dr Karls band were playing in the next room minus him of course. I was then over the moon to find Brid an irish girl who'd i'd just met that day there also a wee bit tipsy so I knew I wouldnt be the only one a bit sleep deprivated the next day!! Good times indeed!!

So the next day I went into work a wee bit sleepy which was ok but I did have to go for an emergency chocolate run at one point as i needed sugar massively!! Brid was also in the same condition as me!! Then after work I was just walking home when Sarah text me, like lets go for a beer even though I had just left her. So we went to Asian Beer Cafe for some $5 beers, we met Clayton in there as he was out celebrating his birthday and then eventually Kieran and Tommo turned up ready to celebrate, me n Sarah managed to escape quite soon though and I was pretty proud that I managed to not end up staying out all night!! I think I was home by around 9pm which was amazing timing I think!! The rest of them ended up being out until around 4am and going bowling and doing karaoke so maybe I missed out on a good night?! On Friday after a hard week of work, it got to around 3.30 and work offered who wanted to get some alcohol to drink at our desks as they do a drinks run every Friday which i think is an amazing morale boosting exercise. You are allowed 2 drinks each, so me and Sarah got 2 boxes of goon each.... haha not really that would have been quite extreme! Me, Sarah and Brid got a 6 pack of cider to share and when it arrived we were soo happy!! Its so nice having a drink at work as it feels very wrong haha but its totally normal here apparently which cheers me up no end. So clever they are over here! We had also all been given forms for our Corporate cards to a bar nxt to work called Red Love so straight from work off we trot there with they guys to get our cards and to take advantage of the two for one offers on. We first got 2 bottles of cider which ended up being $20 for 2! That was on 2 for 1!! So we didnt get that again we just moved on to spirits as it is $9 for 2 doubles of real spirits like jim beam or real smirdoff which is excellent value so i had a few of each of course, and then they were handing out free food it was brilliant, and then eventualy they gave us a bottle champage for the table which was so nice of them!! Some of us hardcore who were still out then went over to Fathers Office another bar where the drinks were mega cheap and topped up in there. Then eventually we decided we were spending way to much so me, Kee, Kyle and Tom went to Sarahs so we could have a few in there then go back out so we wouldnt have to spend any more cash, but of course once we got to the party house and started on the card games we didnt end up going out, we all just stayed over at her house! The next day she made us all lovely sausage sandwiches too bless her she is a good host!!

On the Saturday I went over to Kierans new flat which happened to be in student halls of residence so he has/had a pool so I went over there for a day round the pool with him and Clayton which was lush! Although the pool was soo cool! I then saw Jess from work there and it turns out thats where she lives too!! So some of the work crew were there! Small world over here in Melbourne!! We then waited for Tommo to meet us and off we went to celebrate White Night! Which was a very exciting festival from 7pm to 7am around the whole city things were going on. Light shows, art, live music, live zumba and dance classes. It was brilliant. We went to Sarahs first for a few obviously! She really does live in the ultimate party house!! We then went out about 8 and it was so busy so we went back to hers for a few more then went back out again at 1am as the band i wanted to see werent playing until 2.30am. Sarah decided she couldnt come out again and went to bed so me Kee n Tommo went out and we saw the band Flap! Who were amazing!! Jazz band 1920 inspired mixed with calypso! I was so impressed they were like brilliant! And had the crowd well exited!! They were so full of energy, and they were playing in Degraves street which is a teeny typical Melbourne cafe culture street so it was rammed!! They obviously have a good local following though so I was well impressed with them I will def try to see them again before I leave Melbourne. They then went off to take part in some Thriller dance and I went home as it was after 4am and I was shattered! It took me around 30 mins to fight the crowds as there was live bands on a Flinders Station too so it was manic everywhere!! It was a fab night though everyone was buzzing it was a brilliant atmosphere!! And the city looked beautiful all lit up differently and with so much stuff going on everywhere it was pretty nice to be a part of.

That following week I went to the pictures to see Silver Lining Playback which was mint, went for beer n burger in a irish pub! Went to the Victoria Markets on the night to see all the amazing food stalls and to try the sangria which tasted like cold mulled wine. Very odd! But nice at the same time. It was also a cold night so i had jeans on and a hoody! And it rained on my way home it was just like being at home haha. There was some cool street act on there too that day, I have new found love for them guys now as there is so many brilliant ones here and they are always a bit crazy!! I also went out for $1 champagne ladies night at Asian Beer Cafe with the work crew. It was $1 all night long. Again I bloody love Australia!! I love champagne and cheap drinks so it was a perfect combo for me, and we got some pizzas to share and the pizzas there are amazing and so cheap!!

Anyways kids Im at work now so no more blog for today. I will try to continue tomorrow!!
