Cricket world cup fever hit NZ big Style!! The opening cermony was in Hagley park which is a ten minute walk from my house so off we went there. It was pretty epic. Shapeshifter played who were wicked I got to get my dance on which was nice for a thursday night! The prime minister was there and so was the mayor. it was a big event for Christchurch to be holding as just before the major earthquakes 4 years ago they were about to host the Rugby World Cup....

So after new year I arrived back home to Christchurch, I was in a mess. My body hated me. So I decided to do a detox - just fruit, vegtables and this rank vege soup for 3 days then I was allowed to eat chicken too for the last 3 days. I did very well and stuck to it pretty easily as I literally couldnt drink any more alcohol after the festive period and I had ate so much crap so it was amazing to just eat good stuff. Eating healthy in NZ is pretty pricey ...

So I get the bus from Windy Welly all the way to Taupo, our lunch stop was at a farm which is awesome as obviously I do love farms. It has sheep (standard NZ) Llamas and even pigs! So when me, Daly and Kitchen got back from Kaikoura I was in a bit of a state but I managed to get my washing done and have a nap, then I packed for my North Island trip and that was obviously a huge disaster... I couldnt think straight about what I needed so I ended up basically packing everything I own that wasnt work clothes.
