I paid off another bill of drinks and bits which amounted £20 in just several days! God knows how I got through so much!
I did my usual jobs like stock checking in the morning and reporting if we had any drinks down, refilling the fridges and carrying boxes of booze to and from the beach. Served a customer for breakfast only to be told we had the day off!
So Jack read his book and got burnt intentionally in the sun and I took Ronald the Dutchman out for a snorkel showing him all the creatures in the reserve and the coral pinnacles. It was a bit weird swimming around with a big Dutchman in fluorescent green speedos! Nice bloke though! Saw lots of big cleaner shrimps, tonnes of fish and some big moray eels, one that beared all its teeth at me!
Went through my dive book questions with Ian and scored about 75/90 which was bad considering the answers were all their for you but I just breezed through the book not even reading it - I just wanted to get it done as quick as possible. So after going through the book came my test, and in that I got 39/40, needing like 30 to pass. I'd definitely recommend to anyone who is interested in diving and seeing the underwater world in gettinga dive qualification because its cool and I know that in the future I'll hopefully get the chance to see some awesome things out at sea!
Following a week of camping in tents, we were moved back into a dorm with a double bed and a fan. Only negative was sharing a bed with Ballard but he's not that bad. It was just nice to get out of the hot, sweaty tents plagued outside by flies, mozzies, lizards, ants, spiders and all the dog, monkey and people noises every night!
Oh, I was stung by a jellyfish today and proved that pissing on the wound is actually a bit of a cure. The pain went quickly! Did my dive exam and passed getting 44/50 which wasn't a bad effort.
