Work today consisted of a variety of pool-cleaning (of which I found a Red Roman - an evil looking arachnid that is basically a spider with two eyes and fangs), lifting heavy metal, sweeping, tidying, cleaning the deck next to the pooloverlooking the bay, re-arranging a wood pile out of sight (where we found a tailless whip scorpion, lizards, a hermit crab that pinched me, three mice in a nest and an eastern vine snake that Jack picked up by the tail thinking it was a harmless green snake - turns out it is highly dangerous and there is no antivenom available for it's bite), more cleaning, carrying and washing tables and chairs, arranging them onto the deck and chopping rubber suckers off of dangling lights (random). It was a busy day.
Jack can count himself lucky after playing with a snake, I said to him when he picked it up look at it's wide head that looks like a venomous one!
Guests began to appear and so began our waiting and serving customers for booze and food. PJ and Ian got drunk with their Indian friend Bash and his wife Sabrina, toasting to us for our help and everyone getting the place up and running just in time for Christmas.
