"That's a wrap"
Gentlemen, it feels great to say it. The 1st semester is over and now's the time to enjoy life. It's been a while since my last entry but I thought this would be a good time to write down some thoughts now that we're at the turning point. Reflections…
When I arrived almost half a year ago I had a lot of questions and concerns, which - I think - is very normal given that your whole life changes in one flight. You need to build your social network, succeed in the Uni, find a place to stay and overall get things going. All of these things have been accomplished and I have also managed to move once since I got here. A lot has happened in a relatively short time frame. Although I have not yet gotten all the results back, I can already say that the first part of the Uni went very well. Seems that I am looking at two distinctions (75 % or above), one high distinction (85 %) and one credit (65 %). Can't be too disappointed with that.
As far as all the other things are concerned, it's all good. We actually had a "pre-housewarming" party yesterday at our place. We started with some tapas at a local restaurant and then continued the night over here. It was a nice mixture of different nationalities once again. Me (Finland), Erik (Sweden), Isabelle (Quebec), Loes (Netherlands), Rob (United States), Desta (Canada), Andrew (United States/Australia) and his Australian friend. It was a really nice evening spent by playing articulate and drinking more than enough. When I get back in the late July, we're gonna have a proper housewarming over here.
The following weeks will be extremely interesting and relaxing. No need to worry about anything. First, I will pick up Tommy from the airport tomorrow (Monday), then on Wednesday we head south to the Snowy Mountains. When we get back, WWE will ensue and after the upcoming week, we will catch a flight to Vanuatu. After those two weeks, we will both fly back to Finland. It will be extremely nice to see everybody! I hope the weather's good. I have been missing the long days in the northern hemisphere.
I added a few pictures from our little shindig to the Coogee-folder. Now, I will go cruise with my Ford Falcon…
CHEERS.
