A ROOM WITH A VIEW

All right folks. It's been a while but here we go again. Surry Hills is history. I got the keys to my new place down in Coogee Beach from Andrew, the American guy who will also move in shortly. On Sunday, still a bit hung over from Friday (!), I borrowed a car from my French friend Mickael and drove the rest of my stuff to my new place.

I added a new folder for pics from the area and the apartment itself, but to give you some specs, there are two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, a living room and a balcony. Everything is fully furnished and my personal favorite is the 42'' plasma TV…I do believe this is the time to purchase an Xbox since we don't have a DVD player here either. There's also a washing machine, dishwasher…well, let's just say that things have become a bit easier. Furthermore, I have an ocean view ;) Obstructed, but it's there, trust me! As for the cons, it is a lot further away from the University and the internet connection is - although wireless - not nearly as fast as what I got used to. Also, if I talked about the apartment in Surry Hills being cold, this one is freezing.

So the school's almost over for the 1st semester. Only three exams and a presentation left. However, the job starts tomorrow. In the contract is says a "logistics analyst" but in reality I think this means an "office b****". I don't mind, though, the deal is quite good. Right now, I'm here by myself but I think Andrew is going to move in any day now and the boss also crashes at the place every time he comes over from NZ.

What else? Oh yeah, guess I turned 26. For some reason that doesn't feel quite as exciting as it used to. We did have a party though on Friday. Not exactly for that occasion but for another friend's birthday that happened to be around the same time. Hence the hangover. Anyways, just a couple of weeks left…maybe including a house warming party, and then I'm coming over to Finland for a change. Looking forward to seeing everybody!
