OK! We're back in the game. First of all I have to apologize for the delay...I have honestly been extremely busy/stressed out lately with finding myself a place to stay over here. The crappy motel room I have booked right now is still for next week but after that I would have nothing.
Hey, all is well that ends well, right? After a period of running around the city of Sydney for numerous apartment viewings, I finally think I found myself a studio! This one is located in an area/suburb called "Surry Hills", and from the rooftop I have an awesome view of the Sydney skyline. Also, as a sidenote, the real estate agent was an extremely hot Asian woman...so please forgive my future complaints about the condition of the apartment itself...I really didn't pay much attention to that. In all honesty, it looks good. Small but furnished...you don't need to buy a whole lot.
During the last couple of days we have also gotten acquainted to our new school - The University Of Sydney. In comparison to what I have used to in Finland, this is something completely different. The campus area is enormous with literally hundreds of university buildings one after another surrounded by beautiful parks and ponds. The main hall dates back to the 19th century when the institution itself was established - as the first university in Australia. There are over 2000 students studying here. Lots of opportunities....to study, I mean.
I have posted some new pics of the University Campus area and will write more during the upcoming weekend as I just came back from our first student party!
Cheers!
