We had a sleep in this morning and a relaxing morning. We had brekkie then got ready. We left around 9:30am to drive to the furthest point in Cape Range National Park which is Yardie Creek. We did the Yardie Nature Walk and part of the Yardie Gorge Trail. All up probably about 1.5km walk. It was a really pretty walk along the edge of the Yardie Creek with views of the gorge and Ningaloo Reef. Josh spotted a turtle in the creek and I saw a Whale breach outside the reef so we were both happy.
We then had lunch on the beach then drove to Turquoise Bay. The water in the Cape Range National Park is all crystal clear blue water and so inviting. We drift snorkelled and enjoyed the large fish and the variety we saw. I got a bit scared as I was the only one out snorkelling but luckily when I went out later there were more people. I saw some huge parrot fish. The kids enjoyed playing in the shallow water and on the sand. They enjoyed using their lilo's and Bronte wearing her snorkelling mask. We spoke to a couple of families at the beach (one that we met back in Norseman) then headed back to Mesa Camp around 3pm.
The kids were excited to get back and play with Ruby. So Roger & Chris went fishing while Kaylene, Ruby, the kids and I went to the beach. One of the guys staying here has a kayak so he let the kids have a turn and they thought it was great. Then he got his practice kite for kite surfing out and the kids enjoyed having a turn of that too. We left the beach at 5:30pm and had dinner with Ruby's family (we had rissoles) and sat talking while the kids hunted for insects. We took the kids to bed around 8pm. It was another nice 25 degree day and we have decided to extend our stay to 3 nights so more snorkelling tomorrow.
