I enjoyed so much laying the table outside for breakfast after a dip in the wonderful sea and we continued enjoying ourselves until after lunch at The Stonehouse. Then we head into a village in the hills called Kritsa with spectacular views as we ride high into the hills. Looking at the map we decide to go even higher into the mountains to the village of Avdeliakos. We were on top of the world! Well Crete! We can see both north and south coasts.

On these hillsides you can see the endemic tree species Abelitsia, it is thousands of years old and only found in the world, in Crete. There is a sign and shelter on the side of the road.
