The morning we drove to Rotorua was fairly relaxed and we arrived about lunchtime at our hostel.
We all headed to the supermarket to buy wine and alcohol for the afternoon, looked around a few shops and headed back for a lazy afternoon whilst some of the boys went luging...
I actually watched a film with a bottle of wine, Hannah got absolutely wasted at the pool and was hammered when we left at 6pm to a the Tamaki Maori Village.
Again I have done this last time I visited but it's really cool and it's an all you can eat buffet! Nom Nom!
We took a short bus journey to the village which is in the Tawa Forest and we was welcomed with a ceremonial ritual, some story telling of how they lived, a cultural performace and then the tradtional hangi feast! Hannah was wasted through it all so it was highly amusing. We all ate so so much, they even had custard!! not had that in 7months so I helped myself to a few bowls full haha....Hannahs plate looked like carnage! food everywhere!I was the lucky one and was sat next to her!
After the meal we took the bus back to our hostel with a little sing song on the way, th it was straight to the bar for the first AllBlacks gae and a few vodkas. It wasn't a heavy night because we was all stuffed! Lois went to bed because she was so full hahahaha
The next day we got up and headed to Te Puia which is New Zealand's most well known thermal park ith geysers, boiling mud and a kiwi bird house! They are SO cute and bigger than I thought!
Our guide was hilarious and lovely. She was a Maori and explained how they woud have in the past hunted kiwi birds for food but now they just hunt McDonalds and KFC haha this really tickled me!! loved it, made me chuckle for a while!
Afterwards we was back on the bus and headed to Taupo...
