After a couple of hectic nights in Ho Chi Minh City we made our way to the heart of the Mekong Delta, to a region in south-western Vietnam where the Mekong River approaches and empties into the sea. Today we Said goodbye to Cambodia and crossed the border into Vietnam. It was quite a late arrival so we literally showered,changed and met for dinner. The journey to Siem Reap was so long! We travelled from Bangkok, setting off early morning and grabbing taxis to the bus station. We hopped on a public bus and drove about 6hours to the Cambodian border. The bus was surprisingly ok and I was highly amused when the local man sat next to Felicity quite happily let one go without even a flinch! Thank goodness I wasn't sat too close...
