So!! All full up from our bacon sandwiches (Aiden more so because of his TWO sausages :-P) we were back on the road and ready for the long drive to Dunedin! And what a drive!!
We took the scenic route and made plenty of stops on-route. Aiden was happy to do the driving so I sat back and teased him by drinking cider :-) pay back for the sausage I think!
We came across a New Zealand traffic jam...a whole herd of skinny sheep blocking the road! They were cool and I barred at them through the window haha.
Once they shifted Aiden carried on driving us through the countryside...quickly!! and he got busted by the police hahaha so we had a nice little speeding ticket as a souvenir!!
We made plenty of stops along the way, mainly to eat through all our junk food and make cheese and ham sandwiches-think we lived off them during the day!!
When we finally made it into Dunedin we parked the camper in a car park and took a walk to pick up our tickets! Yey! Oh and pay Aidens fine!! The town centre is nice, plenty of bars and restaurants and some good shops. We took a walk to the supermarket and bought dinner-fajitas!! nom nom nom! We planned to cook them later once we were settled at the campsite.
It was late afternoon when we checked into our campsite and it was so busy!! just full of campervans and England supporters! By late evening it was packed!! Good job we arrived when we did!
The fajitas that night didn't go as planned, I was ill and felt like death so I think we both ended up asleep by 9pm!! if not before!! we are so old!! The weather didn't help though, it was so windy and rainy so we chilled, watched tv and slept!!
The next day was brighter (well to start with!) I felt a lot better and started the day off with another bacon butty (thanks to Aiden cooking it on our little stove) and a bottle of wine! Aiden had some wine (he's getting there!) but then started on the cider!
We got ready for the rugby and headed into town on the courtesy bus from the campsite. We bought face paints and painted our faces before heading into one of the bars which were all packed!! We had a few drinks and then it was time to walk to the stadium! The weather was getting worse, it was raining and still quite windy! We didn't have time for tea so we ended up with a cheap hot dog off the street and a handful of chocolate bars from the petrol station! By the time we got to the stadium we were soaked but we sat down inside and had quite a few beers and shared pie and chips! Such a healthy day!
Fortunately the staduim is under cover so we managed to dry off!! We had more beers throughout, had awesome seats and enjoyed the result!
Afterwards we walked back into town ready for the All Blacks game. All the bars were packed but we got into one fairly quickly and had a few more beers/ciders! It wasn't overly late when we left and we were both hungry so we made that stupid mistake of going to a supermarket pissed up!! Well we bought, crisps, biscuits, chocolate, bread buns a cake and god knows what else!! why the hell we bought a cake I have no idea but it was pretty awesome!!!
We got a taxi back to the campsite, ate half of the food we had just bought and pretty much passed out in bed!!
The next day was nice, we weren't up mega early but we did have another long drive over to the west coast. We had plenty of food so we decided we would skip breakfast and just hit the road and have some picnics on the way :-)
Next stop....Te Anau!!

Aiden Haha still on about that bloody sausage...mmm was so good as well, but yes pay back was sweet sat drinking cider while i drove and wouldn't even give me a drop grrr. Had to blink a couple of times and make sure i wasn't seeing things before getting swarmed by sheep, quite amusing. Doh the first police car I had seen, 70mph on miles of straight road grrr was hardly breaking land speed records, much to the amusement of Sarah...... lol. Expensive souvenir. Rugby was awesome, Otago stadium is new and looked amazing really good atmosphere and you can drink while watching the game, result! Prob englands best game of the world cup!! Drunken food shopping was hilarious, so funny seeing what we had bought in the morning and Sarah finished off the cake hehe
