Our Travels
Another miserable day weather-wise. What have you done to the weather, Julie? We went up onto the roof to check on the plants and at least they are enjoying the rain. The lemons could definitely do with a bit more sunshine though.
Mum, Simon and Julie walked down to the Happey Valley tram terminus. As we walked down the hill Julie stopped by the guard house to check on the cats. The guards make a big fuss of a couple of previously wild cats. They feed them, pet them and have even made them homes in up-turned plastic boxes with bedding inside. Lucky cats! They are fat, lazy and happy now instead of the scrawny, hissing creatures they once were when we first moved here, constantly in fights and afraid of everyone.
We caught the tram, got of in Wanchai and walked the short distance to the White Stag, a pub well known for its Sunday roasts. Roast lamb was on the menu today and we all enjoyed a massive plateful with all the trimmings. Delicious!!
At home once more we settled down to an evening of romantic comedy with Four Weddings and a Funeral followed by Love Actually. After that I think I'm right in saying that Julie watched Pride and Prejudice ... for at least the tenth time on this visit! We're beginning to get quite addicted to it ourselves now!!!
