CHRISTMAS DAY!!!!!

Back in Agnes Water to celebrate christmas as we loved this place so much!!!!!

We were woken up early by Greg the owner of our fab hostel 'Cool Bananas' playing really loud christmas music!!!! Had no other choice than to get up and start the day. No presents to open as we decided against it, plus its hard to buy any suprises when you we are constantly with each other 24hours a day!!!! Tables in the hostel were decorated with loads of palm leaves and tropical flowers- pretty but not in our traditional sense!!!My mum and dad phoned the hostel to wish us a merry christmas followed by a call from Ruth and Tony. Everyone seemed quite merry (it was christmas eve at home and think they'd all been to the pub together)

Me and Ben made the mistake of getting breakfast as no sooner had we finished it, the neighbours came around with plates full of pancakes and loads of fresh fruit and Greg put out platters of water melonand boxes of Cadburys chocs. We were stuffed but we still forced more down anyway!!! We decided to do the Ozzie thing and headed down the beach for an hour- it was packed. So strange, not once that day did it feel like christmas.

When we got back to the hostel we all started drinking and out came the hor d'oeuvres. Crackers with brie, smoked salmon and strawberries-mmmmmm. Whilst all the drinking and eating was happening- a huge lamb was roasting on the spit ready for christmas lunch. Food was great had the lamb, turkey, cheesy feta potatoes, salads, bbq corn on the cob, ice cream and christmas pud. Absolutely stuffed. Ben had to stop drinking for a while because he was soooo bloated. Maybe the best part to the day for me was Gregs cocktail- 'Dahu'. Bundaberg rum, champagne and fruit juice with strawberries and mint leaves. Delicious but deadly!!!!!

All in all we had a fantastic day. Different to what happens at home, but still a great day and one we definately wont forget!!!!!!
