I managed to get hold of 3 tickets to watch Australia Vs England O.D.I at the Sydney cricket ground better known as the SCG. Me, Ria and Gavin arrived at the ground around 1.30pm the weather was a little bit of a worry as it was overcast but it soon brightened up into a gorgeous day of sunshine which burnt us to a crisp!!

The game was a sell out 34,000 and the atmosphere was electric all day and night the ozzies tried winding us up but we beat them with songs like 'we came with backpacks...you arrived with a chain and ball' 'your just a bunch of convicts' and they loved it!! England elected to bat 1st and we came out flying the pick of our batters was Ed Joyce 107 great innings. The whole team chipped in to leave us 292 runs from 50 overs the best score of our summer. After Tea and 3 or 4 beers for me and Gavin the Australians came out to bat. 1st ball of the day from Liam Plunkett blew Adam Gilchrists wickets apart the stadium erupted unbelievable and 1 over later Mahmood took Hodge and we knew it was going to be our day. We managed to Bowl the Ozzies out for 200 and won by 92 runs!! Englands first win of the summer and we were there brilliant!! The ground was fantastic we had really good seats, the fans were brilliant and the 2 teams made a great game of it. We had a drink in the evening around Kings Cross with friends and capped off a great day!! Ria really enjoyed her first outting at the cricket and now understands the rules.......she says!!
