Hey guys, today was the last day of our car hire so planned a fun packed day. It originally started off with 3 of us but then we ended up with 10 of us as some of the boys in the hostel hired a jeep. There was me, Ben, Neil (dutch), Maggie (NZ), Josh (USA) in our little ford festiva and Gavin (England), Matt (Canada), and Anja, Sabine and Marie (Danish) in the lush red jeep. We set off early from our hostel in Cairns and headed to Atherton Tablelands. We headed North first of all before moving inland to Kuranda, where we stopped at Barron Falls. A massive set of waterfalls, where the view was amazing. The cablecar actually runs over them, but dont think id have enough courage to go on it, its sooooo high.

Next stop, after a 2hour journey was Lake Eacham where we stopped for lunch. We werent too impressed with this place but think it was cuz we had more exciting places to come...... Got to Malanda falls, which wasnt as much scenic, but more fun. The boys all decided to jump in and i took lots of pics of them behaving like kids. I then went over the road to the conservation walk with some of the girls and found loads of tiny turtles in the lake, they were gorgeous and the boys were all pretty impressed when they came to join us.

Headed to Millaa Millaa Falls next, which has to be my most favourite destination of the day. I have never seen a waterfall so breathtaking. Ben, Matt and Gavin swam out and stood underneath it, the photos say it all....... We then went to neighbouring Zillie Falls which were fab too, but we stood above them, so couldnt get in the water this time.

Bit of a drive to our next destination and I fell asleep, hope i didnt dribble too much. Stopped in a little coffee shop and had a lovely iced coffe and Ben had tea in an impressive pot. Last destination was Joesephine Falls, which for the majority of everyone was the best. It was a set of waterfalls and swimming holes and you could slide down the rocks into the pool below. We were there for ages and ev1 got in except for me, cuz i was wandering round taking pics for everyone at all angles and heights. Took us about 1hour to get back and arrived at hostel at 630, we'd been out for 10 hours. Had a great day.

That night was Matts last night so 9 of us went out to the Woolshed where we had a fab nite. The beer and cider flowed all night and we lost track of who was buying what. We all danced on the tables and took some hilarious photos. Left about 3am and all staggered home, took us twice as long as usual. Gavin wandered off on his own in the opposite direction but still managed to get back before us and fall asleep in the chair. Anyway it was a fantastic night which completed our amazing day.
