Day 61. Early rise and a long walk/jog north along the beach at Coral Bay to the shark nursery and the giant sandhills. Hundreds of sharks will arrive in about 4 weeks and deliver their young into the shallow waters of the nursery. The views from the top of the giant white sandhills formed by the wind just amazing, looking out to the waves crashing on the outer reef. Pancakes at the van for breakfast and then we joined the noon cruise in the glass bottom boat 'Miss Coral Bay 111' for a beautiful close-up view of the coral. Josh our young skipper was so friendly and informative of the Ningaloo Reef and its creatures. One spectacular brain coral formation known as 'Ayers Rock' was enormous. After lunch we returned to the beach to sun bake and snorkel just metres off the beach. The daily fish feeding and a beach wedding were happening right in right front of us - giant northern snapper and parrot fish swimmimg all around us. Dinner tonight at nearby Bill's Restaurant - red emperor and Caesar salad with prawns. Delicious! Warm 28 degrees today, we just love this weather!
