The Great Western Railway took us from Worthing to Taunton this morning. No problems on this train but most of the Southern Rail services to Taunton were delayed or cancelled. We had a very helpful taxi driver who took us from Taunton Train Station to Europcar where we collected a Ford Focus for our 3 day trip to Cornwall. It was difficult to find anywhere that hired bikes in the area but eventually one in Hove had bikes, maps etc for a trip up to the South Downs Way to spend the day mountain biking. The train trip from London to Worthing went smoothly despite train cancelations due to conductor illness. After a brief exploration of Worthing and the pier we caught the train to Arundel which was about 30 minutes away on the train. Today we met Jordan at London Bridge train station for a trip down to the south coast at Brighton and Worthing.
