We decided to get away from Frankfurt for the day so we caught the train to Heidelberg about an hour away by train. It turned out to be a good choice as it was much smaller than Frankfurt. We walked slowly through the main shopping mall which was about 3km long before crossing the river and walking up the Philosophers Walk. Then we walked up the hill towards Schloss Castle.
