Today we met Jordan at London Bridge train station for a trip down to the south coast at Brighton and Worthing. We headed for Brighton first where we walked along the beach front (promenade) and then the Pier. We had Fish and Chips for lunch on the pier. Very English! Then we searched for the old shopping area called the Lanes. We stopped for a cuppa at a cafe in the Lanes before heading off to Worthing on the train. I stopped at my old schools (Junior and High - which is in a state of disrepair) then headed for the coast. We walked along the pier before heading down the pebbles to the water so that we could dip our toes in the channel. The tide went out a long way to the end of the pier. Before making the long trip back to London we walked the couple of kms to the house I grew up in and saw my Aunts house. The trains were chaos due to a lock of staff because of sickness but we eventually got back to our station where we said goodbye to Jordan as he continued on to his home.
