I wasn't impressed on arrival with the quality of accommodation but the experience and chance to
relax was well worth it.Today we drove back to our caravan at Broome’s Gateway with a detour along some of the free camping beaches north of Broome. I did originally plan on camping here but plans changed. We stopped by Quandong Point and it was very popular with lots of campers but still possible to get a spot especially if you head south. It overlooks another of Western Australia’s clear blue water, white sand beaches.


By the time we got back it was late afternoon and we all washed the car for the first time. This should be the end of dirt for a while which we are happy to say goodbye to it and say hello to the sand. I’m sure the sand will be everywhere too but at least the boys should look clean for longer than 5 minutes without dirt around.
