We did plan on driving up to Cape Leveque today but the road in to Mercedes Cove was longer than we expected and we didn't feel like another big day on bumpy roads. So we had a rest day and thought we would do it tomorrow on the way out. Kenan and Clare drove to the nearby Whalesong and ended up walking along the beach up to the red cliffs they could see in the distance. The photos Clare took were great but it was to big of a walk to do with the boys.


We saw some whales playing this morning passing the cove. We all went down to the beach for a couple of hours which was really nice. It is a private beach so there was only us and one fisherman way up on the rocks.






We went for an afternoon drive to Middle Lagoon but with a very firm sign saying it is a $10 entry fee per person even for a quick visit we didn’t end up staying for the sunset, just drove the the end of the road and turned around.


Zach loved sleeping in the top bunk the first night but after I put them to bed tonight I found this. Zach climbed dpown to give Liam cuddles :_)
