Barden's Great Aussie Adventure 2015
Our last full day at Darwin and the weather is near perfect once again. We headed to the city to enjoy some time at the wave pool. They apparently can make 10 different waves...we saw about 4 in the time we were there. The water was a nice temperature and it was great for the kids with also having a shallow section behind.
In the park next door there was a free inflatable waterslide so Zach had some turns at that before we went back to a camper for a rest.
We finished the night off by going to the Drag Races at Hidden Valley. It wasn't overcrowded so we were able to get a great spot at the starting line. This was fine for the street cars but was too loud when the other categories came out. So we moved further down the track where the noise was manageable and we still had a great view. The kids were awesome the whole time which meant we all had a good time. We also witnessed the first time a top fueller has ever raced on the Hidden Valley track. They were amazing to see...the flames, the heat, sound, speed - everything was crazy.
