We had a big day out today, mostly spent at Mindil Beach. We started there to see the judging of best boat which in the end we didn't see because we later discovered they run a very loose program and the times listed didn't mean much. Zach and Liam did have their first running race here though. Unfortunately in each of their races they fell over halfway and didn't get back up!

So next we went and had lunch by Darwin lagoon which was nice for the boys to have a splash in and they had live music playing in the park. After stopping by Dad's & Jodie's hotel for a swim we went back to the Beer Can Regatta. Being held on Mindil Beach the same day as the markets we wandered through the stalls. It was 33 degrees so we spent most of our time off the beach and in the shade. We watched some of the "Battle of Mindil" which is the boat race with no rules. Flour bombing, water cannons, water bombs, stealing are all allowed.


On dusk we relaxed with more music followed by a circus show for the kids. They loved it so much they didn't move for 30min straight. The night finished by watching an awesome sunset over Mindil Beach.
