Today was reserved as Matt's fix the car day. He thought he would just need to replace the head gasket which was expensive enough, but after having the head checked professionally, the car needed a whole new head! So we are now over $2k poorer just from this :-(. Lucky Matt knows what he is doing and is saving money on labour by doing it all himself. We are also aware of another mechanical problem that needs fixing next so that's not the end of car repair costs.
