You guessed it Rain, rain and more rain. Today was spent waiting. Waiting to here about my job in Goa, to hear about my visa to work, to chat to the owner of this hotel and the owner of the Goa hotel. So that's what we did. Got nowhere (they were on Indian time). The day was spent like this. Food shower lobby, food room lobby, room lobby food etc. The highlight of the day was going to the veg restaurant that we went to on the second day. We now fondly refer to it as the truck stop, as it's the Indian version of the greasy spoon with the charming ripped lino floor and plastic tables, and yes they have the tomato ketchup bottles and the napkins that don't actually absorb anything but do a good job of smearing anything on your lip half way round your face. We have to admit the food there is really good but no respectable Indian would ever go there. We both ate for about a pound, and an ice cream is 9p. In the evening after having a fruitless day we went to the bar for dinner and a drink. The guys from Leicester came down and we drank and chatted late into the night.
