So we have arrived in Mumbai (2 hours late!) at 3am this morning. It was a very humid and 27 degrees centigrade. We got to the hotel after some negotiations with a cabbie and managed to get some sleep.This morning we got up late and had our first Indian meal - veggie korma and nan bread for breakfast! It came with little sweet lemons that were delicious and seem to be a common condiment (and lime pickle and onions).We then went out to explore the city, sadly in torrential rain! My feet got soaked as I was wearing flip flops and at one point what I thought was road, turned out to be mud! Looking somewhat like an honorary member of the great unwashed we managed to find a jeweller and buy my all important ring - I lost my first job here due to not being married to Vincent so we decided what the hell......we'll fake it! The ring is beautiful!Tash blokeWe got back to the hotel from quite a long walk and washed our filthy feet in time for dinner. We tried to find the restaurant recommended by lonely planet but got lost and ended up back at the hotel. Attempt 2 in a tuk tuk was successful and we had a lovely meal in 'Sheesha' choosing the recommended veg curry and daal then a sheesha.We're now back at the hotel chilling out trying to contact friends and missing the lap top quite a lot (this keyboard is impossible!)
