Our room: no. 112, a comfy double bed with sheets that we aren't allergic to, yay! There is air con that works well but drips on the table, there is a ceiling fan just like in our new room at home only this one is more like the down blast from a helicopter - makes a similar noise to! The floor is clean and tiled - but it does have a colony of roaches, the anti roach pellets smell awful. Our TV has only an 'up' channel button and only a handful of the 99 channels work, however Z café has a 5 in a row sex in the city special (series 1!). The bathroom was rather basic, but the shower was like Niagra falls and although only hot at random times of the day it was pleasant. There were buckets, ladles, a toilet hose and a watering can by the shower and loo - we are only to guess at their uses but put it this way, there wasn't any loo roll!!Out the window we have a view of the train tracks. Sadly the train drivers like to honk almost as much as the taxis, so its not great for sleeping (yay to my ear plugs N) Also there is almost constant music at deafening volumes throughout the day and night in honour of Ganesh. The area by the hotel/train track fence has obviously been designated as men's loo, L .Due to the lack of lap top and the hotel computer being so rubbish we decided to find an Internet café. We walked for miles and miles to Bandra asking random people along the way. Someone told us there was a good one opposite Globus Mall. Well opposite can mean many things, so we spent a good half hour walking around the rather impressive mall. Along the way we had samosas from a street vendor then, using our western looks to our advantage, we strolled into the mall, pretended like we had enough money to shop there - but actually just used their nice loos! Eventually we found the café and started the job/house hunting. We ate at 'the truck stop' a little restaurant at the train station.
