Nick and I were awake before 7am this morning and decided to start the pack up while the sun was shining. We hadn't quite finished when the first shower came through and soaked the last few things that needed to go in the van!! We were on the road just after 8 and had thought of calling into Tuncurry on the way but the journey was four and a half hours without a big detour and the kids' tolerance for travelling in the car has decreased ever since arriving in SA!! We made it to Nambucca Heads in time for lunch and checked into a great caravan park at the end of the town with beach frontage that let us use a kids stay free voucher we'd found in a tourist magazine. The kids shot off to the park and jumping pillow while we set up and then we spent the rest of the afternoon walking the beach. It took us two hours return trip to walk along the beach to the "V Wall" - the breakwater at the mouth of the Nambucca River and by the time we got home it was getting dark. Nick made dinner and everyone had showers and an early bed, exhausted after the afternoon's activities!
