We have an easy morning, then go to fetch the battery from the marina. After returning to the aire we trundle into town and meet M+C for a beer in 'Le Winch'. Roscoff looks better today than it did on Thursday, with sunshine and there are more people around giving it a much better atmosphere.
After a bit more wandering we find ourselves outside Marie Stuart, our favourite restaurant here, and there are tables free on the terrace. An enjoyable lunch whiles away a couple hours before we set out along the 'bridge to nowhere' [actually the low water embarcation for Ile de Batz ferries]. The sea is like a Caribbean brochure and the bare rocks are peppered with weeded rockpools. Back in town we stop for ice cream then say goodbye to Michael and Chris.
We sit and watch the tide come into the harbour. A seagull splashes down with a mangled crab and tears it apart and mullet swim into the shallows. Roscoff as we love it, and as we hope to see again sometime soon.
A slow walk along the beach brings us to the aire for the last time this tour. The estuary is full with today's spring tide.
During the evening a young lad comes around with a basket of 'vente direct' vegetables. Ali buys 4 enormous artichoke heads for €2.00
We get everything ready for the sailing tomorrow morning and have an early night.
