We have an easy morning, then go to fetch the battery from the marina. After returning to the aire we trundle into town and meet M+C for a beer in 'Le Winch'. Roscoff looks better today than it did on Thursday, with sunshine and there are more people around giving it a much better atmosphere. After yesterday's runaround Michael has offered to let us charge the battery on the marina hook up so we drive to Port de Bloscon to drop it off. Michael takes Ali and the battery out to where 'Cleopatra' is moored on the pontoon. This Penze aire is a charming place and we'll certainly come to use it again. We take our time getting moving, use the free service point and leave just before midday. A short but beautiful scenic ride takes us along the estuary from Taule to Carantec. The torrential ran has dwindled to sporadic showers but the gales continue unabated. There's no chance of going to town to meet our boating friends, Michael and Chris, this morning. The day starts well enough with weak sun and clouds. We watch the sparrows flitting in and out of the long grass in front of us. Before they land, they all stop and hover a few seconds then plunge into the cover. A few fishermen are out on the banks, and the canal and lock house look good.
