Whether we're tired from rushing around before the trip, the loss of an hour and slightly disturbed sleep on the ship or simply because of 'we're finally on our way' excitement, we sleep like logs and don't move too quickly this morning.
The marina and canal are bright in sunshine although we have a couple of showers before we use the service point and head on south east.
There is a mixture of rain, showers and sunshine as we travel with ligh traffic on dual carriageway to Parthenay then it's smaller roads into Vasles where we find the aire next to the sheep museum.
www, moutonvillage.fr which has over 20 breeds but all we see are a few plastic ones on the green.
There is only one other van and the aire is divided by hedges and trees so it's private and peaceful. We watch, trying not to laugh, as a teenage girl, eyes down on phone, earphones in place, walks straight into one of the trees.
Is there an app called Trunkdodger?
Peaceful afternoon catching up with a bit of slow wifi.
Dinner roast chicken quarters.
CD of the day: Rolling Stones - Blue and Lonesome
