Sunny, breezy and cool this morning. Michael and Chris are spending today with their friends from Douarnanez. We don't want to stay in the Roscoff aire for too long at a time so we look for somewhere different close by.
After a short shop in the supermarket we drive 11 miles to Penze, a village near Morlaix. The aire there is a lovely spot, beside a meandering, tree lined river with a little stone harbour and stone bridge. Through the afternoon the tide comes in filling the channel and covering the mudbanks.
Ali wanders to the bakery and buys an almond tart for tea time. We spend a peaceful, lazy afternoon watching the swallows, finches and blackbirds flitting around, gathering food and twigs.
A few more vans arrive, we have fish for dinner and a quiet evening. I'ts still daylight after 10:30

Amanda Gunn Know exactly where you were. We cycled across there last month when we were in Roscoff for the weekend. Lovely spot, which we have driven past so many times but never stopped!
