The morning starts dull but begins to brighten when we set off aiming towards the Limoges area.
Leaving Vasles we drive along country roads among lots of yellow; masses of cowslips in the verges, tall mustard plants in the fields and dandelions on any bit of spare grass. Traffic is light and the roads are straight, with lots of dual carriageway and a few towns we've passed through other times.
Lunchtime we pull into the camperstop at Bussiere-Poitevine next to a park. The sun comes out as we have our sandwich and after three days travelling we decide to take a break and stop here for the night.
A house beside the lawn has a large lawn and a number of trees. Trundling around the garden is a robot mower which, like yesterday's teenager, keeps bumping into tree trunks. It hasn't a clue, changing course everytime it hits something then tracking of again t find some longer grass. Any yellow flowers are doomed.
We have a walk round the park then into town, all closed up on a Sunday afternoon, but it's quite attractive. A sign for a chateau points down a side road so we go that way. It leads to a lovely country lane where the verges and hedges are crammed with wild flowers; more cowslip, white campion, daisies, stitchwort and others we couldn't name.
The chateau is a large house with a fat tower at one corner. From the tower the road drops steeply to a bridge and sluice at the end of a lake.
As we make our way back there is a short sprinkle of rain but not enough to get wet. The boulangerie is open so we get a baguette and quiche so Ali won't have to cook.
The Mo-Bot is still pinballing around the garden when we get back, must be good batteries.
The rest of the afternoon we just relax, no point travelling if we don't stop now and then.
