Day 37 Tekapo to Twizel 58km
We should have believed the forecast and been patient. Instead, we dithered for an hour and set off when there was a break in the weather. So we ended up cycling a horrible 3 hours in wind and rain and hail and baling out at Twizel. It cleared, as promised, in the afternoon and now is hot and sunny. New Zealand, even more than Cornwall can do the four seasons in a day. So we plan to detour into the mountains tomorrow and walk up to one of the huts on Mount Cook. In our cycle shoes....
