Mark And Jan's Tandem Tour Of New Zealand 2010
Day 41 Arrowtown to Queenstown 21km
And the tourism capital of New Zealand. It's a funny thing. Only a third of all New Zealanders live on the South Island and yet for the last few days we have found ourselves in more heavily trafficked areas than ever before. And never more so than today. A lovely night last night(apart from my neurotic wonderings about the tent catching fire from all the fireworks...) and a lovely cycle ride this morning into Queenstown. And here we are. Youth aplenty in tasteless tshirts drunk in the daytime. It certainly is beautiful here and I can understand why the mountain range is called "the remarkables". But I can't wait to head out tomorrow on the SS Earnshaw across the lake and into the wilderness.
