We all woke reasonably early and got ourselves organised for a dual family bike ride with the Prelc's. We left around 9.30am and headed to the Munda Biddi Trail. It was an undulating 8km on mostly fire trail type wide track through some beautiful forests into Deanmill town where we joined onto the actual track which was slightly narrower, and nice and flat through farmland and trees for about 5km and then we were into Manjimup town just as it started to sprinkle. We stopped and had a lovely brunch at the Tiger Cafe before making our return journey the same way until we got home at 1pm after a solid 25-30km bike ride! The weather was perfect - nice and cool, a thoroughly enjoyable ride.
After lunch, we drove through Pemberton to The Cascades - a series of low waterfalls which was even nicer with the cool drizzle of misty rain falling. Pemberton is known for its rainfall and it didn't disappoint - it was a nice change and only lasted about 30 minutes anyway.
We quickly drove from The Cascades to Big Brook Dam to check it out, but it was actually quite cold and windy, so we didn't stay for long. We had the car booked in for a rego check back at Manjimup so while Dad sorted that out, we stocked with supplies at Woolworths, and snagged a lift back home with our friend Joe, so that was a bonus.
The rest of the evening was spent with parents chatting, boys playing cricket, girls doing acrobatics on the lawn in pleasant, but quite cool weather.
